December Shamanic Journey Circle

This new Journey Circle is starting off with a theme of Yule.

The holiday marks the winter solstice on December 21st. The winter solstice is and astrological event in which it is the longest night and the beginning of winter. It is a place of reflection. This is a time of hibernation as well as a time of celebration in knowing that light and life will return. We will discuss more on these subjects at length in Circle.

There will be two journeys. The First Journey: What do we need to let die? During winter maybe not in the tropics but in general is a time where the trees are barren and all vegetation has gone. Through death there comes a process of renewal and transition.

The Second Journey: Asking ourselves: What do we want to birth and give life to coming in to the new year. To go within and find what will give light to us from the darkness of winter, to pave way into the new year and changing seasons of life. Metaphorically we are reborn with each winter solstice.
