Shamanic Journeying: Exploring the Lower and Upper Worlds

Shamanism has been practiced around the world for more than 40,000 years, making it our oldest spiritual tradition. Shamanism continues to endure because it is a path of “direct revelation” to explore the spirit world and claim our true power to shape our lives. You will be taught the core principles of Shamanism, what it is, where it comes from, and how it can be applied today. We will be doing two journeys which are where you go into a trance like state to access different realms or non ordinary reality. Using The World Tree as a guide. The roots (Lower World), Trunk (Middle World), and branches (Upper World).

The first being a Lower World journey where we will find our Power Animal. According to shamanic understanding, we each have a number of power animals, for they are patterns of natural abilities and potentials that are inherent within us. A principal power animal is one that has prominence. Finding your power animal is a necessity in order to travel to the other worlds for it protects and guides you. Sometimes it may surprise you what shows up as your power animal and you may have more than one.

The second Journey will be to the Upper World where we will find our higher guides, teachers, and possibly deities. This is where we go to ask more philosophical questions for example, what is my purpose in life? , Am I on the right path? There are of course many other uses of this realm which will be discussed during this journey. If you have ever been intrigued, drawn, or called to Shamanism in any way this is the perfect way to gain knowledge and experience in the healing practice of Shamanism.
